What's Next, Oklahoma Bikers?

Sturgis is winding down and many are on their way home. Once something that big and exciting is over, it may seem like the fun is all over for the season. It is still way too early in the year for all those bikes to go into hibernation though, and there are plenty of good riding days left ahead of us.

With weather permitting, we might even be riding well into December and beyond. So what can Oklahoma bikers look forward to from here on out? There are still plenty of benefit rides and poker runs coming up before the end of August.

August

OKC is hosting it's First Annual Epilepsy Awareness Run on August 17th. Anyone who has been affected by, or who knows someone affected, by epilepsy should check that out.

August 17th also sees the Bikes, Babes and Beer ride in Tulsa to benefit veterans.

The Downed Bikers Association is hosting a benefit ride on the the 17th as well, also in Tulsa.

August 24th will be the day of the Cash Comanche Nation Casino Poker Run in Lawton. Proceeds from this ride will benefit B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse).

The end of August can be celebrated by attending the Route 66 Biker Rally Labor Day Bash. This weekend long event (August 29th-September 2nd) will be hosted in Depew, Oklahoma. Historic Route 66 travels right through the campgrounds. Includes biker themed activities and a large sound stage.

Ride Safe

Those both on and off bikes should remember to always be vigilant and safe on the roads. Look twice for bikes, look twice for cars.
